CROSSBAR QUESTIONS:
What size crossbar do I need?
Toyhauler / Trailer - We recommend wall to wall or cabinet to wall less 2". The only reason we recommend less 2" is for easy install or removal. Once the system is secured it doesn't move and rock solid! If you are only hauling one bike and never plan on hauling more then you only need a crossbar 1" past each d-ring.
Mercedes Sprinter, Ford Transit, Ford E-Series, Dodge Promaster, GM and Chevy vans - All kits come with a 67" crossbar unless specified while ordering. We can trim any crossbar at no additional cost.
How far apart are the holes in the crossbar?
The holes in the crossbar are 1 1/2" apart down the crossbar for complete adjustability.
What size crossbars do you offer?
We offer crossbar from 24" - 94". If you need a crossbar longer that 94" you can use our crossbar sleeve in our Hardware / Misc section. A crossbar longer than 94" is generally only required when a customer wants to run his system along his driver or passenger wall when using our 30 or 45 degree angled wheel chocks.
J-HOOK / J-BOLT QUESTIONS:
What size J-hooks do I need?
All kits come standard with our 12" J-hooks unless otherwise specified.
12" J-hooks are designed for flip-up style d-rings.
14" J-hooks are designed for non flip style d-rings. Which might be the track style or round puck style.
10" J-hooks are designed for E-track rings with 2" and 3" rings.
LEG SUPPORTS
All of our trailer and van systems come with our standard leg supports unless otherwise specified.
Our standard leg supports are 12 3/4" across the bottom and require 6" from a front wall or cabinet to the center of a d-ring. Our short leg supports are 9" across the bottom and require a minimum of 2" from a front wall or cabinet to the center of a d-ring.
